With this research, we wanted to find out how much and to what extent the salinity of the water affects to the plants, in order to achieve this aim, the average salinity which a specific group of samples from various species and under certain conditions can withstand in water has been analysed.
We also want to alert about an agricultural risk present in, above all, the Mediterranean area of the Iberian Peninsula. Although it is not too much known because of the few known cases, it is far more dangerous and harmful than we think: salinization of aquifers.
